About the role
The Scrum Master enables one or more cross-functional Trading IT squads to deliver high-quality, compliant and resilient technology for front-to-back trading workflows — market data ingestion, pricing, risk, order and execution management, trade capture and PnL. You coach teams in Agile values and practices, remove delivery impediments and shield the team from noise while keeping work aligned with trading priorities, regulatory constraints and production stability. This is a full-time, on-site role in Bangkok, Thailand. We welcome applicants of any nationality and support relocation.
Team facilitation and Agile delivery
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily scrum, backlog refinement, sprint review and retrospective — with purpose and outcomes
- Enable predictable delivery: healthy sprint goals, a clear definition of ready and done, and transparent work visualisation
- Drive flow efficiency: reduce WIP, cycle time and handoff waste; promote story slicing, pairing and mob programming, and a test-first mindset
- Design and maintain dashboards that summarise sprint and PI performance — planned versus unplanned work, velocity trends, cycle time and other delivery metrics
Impediments, dependencies and stakeholders
- Proactively identify and remove impediments (environment access, test data, release approvals, dependencies)
- Coordinate with platform and infrastructure teams on non-functional readiness — performance, resilience and observability
- Support production stability practices: incident management, problem management, error budget tracking and change risk assessment
- Partner with product owners, trading stakeholders and tech leads to keep a clear, prioritised backlog aligned to business value
- Manage external dependencies with other IT teams and keep communication on commitments, risks and forecasts transparent to leadership
Coaching, governance and compliance
- Coach the team and product owner on Agile, Scrum, Lean and flow metrics, maturing practices iteratively
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, data-driven decisions and continuous learning
- Ensure ceremonies and artifacts support auditability — traceability from business requirement to release
- Align with regulatory and internal controls (change windows, segregation of duties, audit trails, maker-checker)
- Track and report delivery and operational KPIs to Trading IT leadership
Required qualifications and experience
- 2–3 years as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead in complex, high-availability environments
- Hands-on with Agile tooling: Azure DevOps; familiarity with CI/CD (Git, Azure DevOps) and automated testing
- Strong servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
- Certifications: PSM I/II, CSM or SAFe SSM
- Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud (Azure/AWS)
- Experience in trading, commodities or energy — or similar domains where latency, reliability and compliance matter
- Working knowledge of trading lifecycle systems: market data, pricing, risk, trade capture and settlement, or PnL
