About the role
Administer, monitor and support enterprise Oracle database environments so they stay highly available, reliable, secure and fast, and provide database consulting from design through automation and cloud. This is a full-time, on-site role in Bangkok, Thailand. We welcome applicants of any nationality and support relocation.
Key responsibilities
- Administer, monitor and support Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, reliability, security and optimal performance
- Provide database consulting and support, including design, implementation, maintenance, automation and cloud consultancy
- Perform certification for new database technologies, including new database versions and patches
- Ensure data integrity and security
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to meet data needs
- Document database processes and procedures
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or an IT-related field
- Fluent English: TOEIC 750+, TOEFL iBT 98+ or IELTS 6.5+
- Strong experience in Oracle database administration: installation, configuration, monitoring, backup and recovery, performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Oracle Database 19c and above, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) and Oracle Data Guard
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Database automation and scripting with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, shell scripting, PowerShell, Terraform or other automation tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork, and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Experience with other database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB)
- Experience with cloud database technologies (e.g. Amazon RDS)
