Azure Shared Services Engineer

About the role

The Azure Shared Services Engineer develops and supports a large enterprise Azure platform made up of management structures and custom-built automations that help other teams with day-to-day work. You will keep those structures and automations in line with the client’s standards and running smoothly, and create and enhance solutions across Azure services (PaaS, IaaS, networking). This is a full-time, on-site role in Bangkok, Thailand. We welcome applicants of any nationality and support relocation.

Platform engineering and automation

• Develop and maintain Azure platform components using infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, JSON)
• Automate provisioning of Azure resources and core structures (management groups, subscriptions, resource groups)
• Build reusable templates and modules to enforce standards and improve deployment consistency

Operations, governance and innovation

• Monitor and troubleshoot automation pipelines, governance configurations and platform deployment issues
• Ensure the reliability and compliance of Azure services and core platform components such as Log Analytics, Event Hubs and serverless compute
• Implement Azure RBAC and organisational guardrails aligned with enterprise standards
• Work with architects to translate design requirements into automated platform capabilities
• Assess new Azure services and features and recommend them for adoption
• Collaborate with Microsoft and internal teams to optimise platform performance and implement security practices
• Work closely with Agile teams across the organisation, and maintain documentation, best practices and knowledge resources

Primary skill set

• Coding skills with hands-on experience: PowerShell Core/Script and infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, JSON, Terraform)
• Azure platform administration: management groups, subscriptions, resource groups, Entra ID, RBAC and common IaaS/PaaS resources such as Log Analytics workspaces and Event Hubs
• CI/CD skills: repositories, pipelines, workflows and actions on GitHub and Azure DevOps

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile working methods
• Infrastructure experience: Windows/Linux servers and VMs, IP networking, infrastructure integration and infrastructure security
• API management
• Collaborative team player, strong communicator, creative and analytical problem solver
