About the role
Data Engineer working on a chemical supply chain project and product enhancement.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance enterprise data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Azure SQL)
- Translate business requirements into analytics solutions ranging from data storage, ETL (extract/transform/load) and data modeling for business consumption, e.g. APIs and event streaming
- Work in an Agile framework and ceremonies with the PO/SM
- Ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects; be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products
- A minimum of 3 years developing complex online applications
- A degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of SQL: 5+ years' experience in SQL scripting (not server administration)
- Azure Cloud fundamentals
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases; stored procedures
- Experience with object-oriented/object-function scripting languages, e.g. Python, Java, C#
- Cloud fundamentals (Azure, AWS or other cloud experience)
- Fluent written and spoken English: able to explain technical situations in easy-to-understand language
- Understanding of SAP data structures is a plus
